Made it to the Top 100 Australian bloggers list

October 18, 2007 by Jen at Semantically driven

I just looked at my stats and noticed some visits from Dipping into the Blogpond’s Top 100 Australian Blogs Index so I popped on over and noticed that I’ve debuted at number 99 on the list. What a great number to debut at – being a fan of Get Smart and all.

Blogtop100_2 A few months ago I’d nearly made it onto the list but I went and got my own domain name (changing from a Typepad domain name) which subsequently stuffed up my Technorati ranking as the index uses Technorati for part of its ranking formula.

Now I plan to move away from Typepad altogether and make this a WordPress blog. Gulp! I’ll write more about why I want to do that in another post.

I was so happy to see you on the list 🙂 especially after you were so close before you moved… Big congrats 😀

Just after I put it up I had to go out, so I didn’t get the chance to let you know. I’ll be doing my fortnightly update tomorrow & will give you a shout out then.

I’m no expert, but if I can help with the WP move give me a holler (you have my email)!

Not sure I understand how the rankings work but it’s really cool you’re on the list 🙂

Congratulations!! I dare not look at my ranking for anything – I don’t do enough to make any difference to my ranking of “accidentally fell over it on my way somewhere else”.

Mind you, I am probably the biggest hit for folding fitted sheets! Gets me a few hits a week 🙂

Congratulations! I remember you making that decision – it was worth it, right? 😉

Congrats on making the decision, you won’t regret it. I have a huge list of great WP links, I’ll publish it in today’s wrap up, so make sure to check it out.

We’re doing cheap but good hosting for WP bloggers ($5 a month) so if you need a host and haven’t decided on one yet shoot me an email. We have this big dedicated server doing stuff all, so I figure the least I can do is share it with fellow bloggers. You can pay by the month with paypal, which most hosts won’t allow.

We can hook you up with a test blog to start with – probably on one of our other domains to make it easier, so you can play with it until you get it how you want it, then we can set up your real one. That’s how we did mine.

    Cheers!
