Watch out YouTube, here I come

July 10, 2007 by Jen at Semantically driven

YouTube, until now, has been a place just where I go and watch the occasional video that I’m directed to or as a result of searching for something specific.

It had been in the back of my mind to put up some home videos of mine for storage and because I never watch them as they just sit on my computer as files.

It occurred to me that it can’t be that hard to put videos on YouTube so I did it last night.

My son is going to get an airing – what’s new – quite a bit as most of them feature him. Oh, and they feature my dog as well.

It was really easy to do. I created an account, filled in some profile type information and uploaded the video. It wasn’t that clear how long it would take to appear and it took a little while to process, but overall the whole process was really simple.

So this one is when I got my first digital camera nearly three years ago and JJ’s sitting down eating dinner when Monty walks in.

I know I’m biased but there are a couple of very cute facial expressions. Oh, and you hear me talking like a sook to my dog.

Or go here to view it on the YouTube website.

What a great idea! Your post regarding your feelings about parenting is exceptional. I chose not to be a parent…not because I don’t like kids..I love them. But I don’t know if I could raise one successfully by myself. Even though I am married, and happily, I have always known that ultimately, I would be the primary caregiver. I really admire you for raising your child to be a thinking, feeling human being. So many parents don’t put the forethought into their parenting skills, and it is obvious you do. Bravo!

I LOVE IT Jen! How great to be able to hear you and JJ after all this time. You sound great! And Julian was so cute.
