The lid that John West should reject

October 25, 2005 by Jen at Semantically driven

I’ve taken to buying tuna in one of those little flat tins with the sweet chilli sauce. The price difference between this and the plain tuna is neglible so I buy the ready made one.

I always have a problem opening the lid though. Initially it’s easy to open but to pull the whole lid off without the chilli sauce going all over the place is impossible. And it’s no good leaving the lid partly on because then you can’t get all the tuna out that you need and have it stay relatively intact.

Lid2 Here is the lid partially taken off but the end bit is where it gets tricky.

Lid

Also, it’s hard to get the contents out because the tin has the left over lid bit at the top which tuna gets stuck underneath.

I don’t like these lids John West.
