Annual football outing

May 28, 2011 by Jen

At my annual football outing. Day 179/365.

Saturday, 21 May 2011, Day 179/365.

Once a year I get together with friends and we head off to an AFL football match. This is kind of ironic seeing as I never watch the game on television and don’t follow a team at all.

I do like the atmosphere at the game, although for nearly $39 for an adult ticket I bloody well should enjoy the game. Luckily it’s a heck of a lot cheaper for kids. Fortunately the $39 includes a free bus ride there which saves having to drive and find a park. I love it when we leave on the bus and we get our own lane and whiz past all the cars at a standstill.

This particular game wasn’t very well attended and unfortunately the team we went to support lost, but we had a fun afternoon nonetheless.
