We are going through a prolonged heatwave at the moment. It’s unusual to have such a long heatwave in March, but it’s happening. At least the nights are cooler than they otherwise might be making sleeping in a non-airconditioned house a lot more comfortable.
Tomorrow we’re off to Womadelaide and it’s going to be just as hot. While I love going to Womadelaide I don’t like all the dust that gets kicked up from people walking around making me sneeze and making my head all snuffly. Pack the hayfever tablets – check!
These hot days make me get up earlier than I otherwise would to do a bit of watering and washing before going outside in the sun gets unbearable.
I’ve just shut the house up again for a 39 degree day and we won’t be doing too much today, just spending time in front of the computer and television, and reading a book.

Happy International Women’s Day to you Jen. Maybe it’s all the power surges from us menopausal women that have made today so darn hot.

OMG, don’t send that heatwave here! I am very happy to have cooler weather, even though we did not have much of a Summer.
I hope today is not so hot for you.

Womadelaide is the World of Music and Dance in Adelaide. See http://womadelaide.com.au/ for more info. It’s a great festival and good for the family. I went yesterday and it was sooo dusty!

Hope you had a good time at Womadelaide Jen despite the dust and heat. Looking forward to checking out some of you great photos of the event.

Yeah, I will certainly be glad to see the back of this heat wave. It’s just a little TOO hot for my liking. I always get soooo lethargic when it’s hot. ๐ Of course, it won’t be long and I’ll be complaining it’s too cold!!!!
