On the street where you live

September 14, 2011 by Jen

Near the street where you live. Day 288/365.

Wednesday, 7 September 2011, Day 288/365.

A suburban street. Not that much to look at on the surface really.

Usually streets like this are pretty quiet until some sort of drama happens to disrupt that quietness.

You see the news interviewing people after such an incident and they say that nothing like that ever happens here. It’s usually a peaceful place.

Five years ago an accident happened outside the front of my house. One minute everything was quiet, and not long later there were firetrucks, ambulance and police.

But mostly my street is pretty quiet and I like it that way. Now if I could just get cars not to treat it like a race track I would be happier.

By the way, the street in the image above isn’t the one where I live.
