Monday, 15 August 2011, Day 265/365.
My photo a day project isn’t all about the likeable stuff that I might do. I wanted it to document the mundane, and the day-to-day as well.
Washing clothes can’t get more mundane I don’t think.
I’ve had this washing machine for about seven years. My last one broke down one Christmas Eve when I was washing a load of cloth nappies. I’ll never forget it because it was the most inconvenient time and the one of the most unsavoury things I could have been washing.
I got it fixed and it limped along for another five to six months before it conked out again and I gave it to the washing machine graveyard and bought a new one.
This was also the first whitegood I bought brand new and I’m a front loading washing machine convert. I definitely noticed the difference in wash quality, in a good way, compared to my previous top loader. I also noticed the longer time it took to do a wash but this doesn’t bother me and there is a quick wash setting if needed.
And back to the mundane? I don’t mind washing clothes and hanging them out. But I hate folding them up and putting them away. I am really good at putting this off. How about you?

I am a front load person also:). I use the quick option all too often though, but I love that I use less water for a better wash. My front load was the first machine I bought new for myself.
