Mother’s Day

May 8, 2005 by Jen at Semantically driven

It’s Mother’s day here in Australia. I remember it was different in England and I don’t know the dates for it elsewhere. Unfortunately JJ is too young to make me breakfast in bed yet, and there is nobody to go and buy me an expensive present and say it was from JJ.

I did get something just as good, as the expensive present though, and something I prefer. JJ’s friend, Miss M was around the other night and they got crafty. Miss M is very creative and after I gave them some cardboard, wrapping paper, sticky tape and scissors and left them alone for half an hour or so, this is what they came up with. It was a week early but I had to take a photo for posterity.

Mothersday The card is at the top with the feathers and the drawing of a dog. On the bottom left is a purple flower. In the middle bottom is a tiger and at the bottom right is a bookmark.

These kids know me well and know that I can always use a bookmark. I’ve heard of sock heaven for odd socks, but there must be a bookmark heaven for missing bookmarks as I’ve lost heaps over the years.

Anyway, thanks heaps for the Mother’s Day presents JJ and Miss M. Love ya!

Aren’t homemade Mother’s Day cards the best?
