I’ve haven’t posted for a few days because I’ve had time off work and also went away for mother’s day. It’s been all systems go at home with the bedroom renovation. I finished the ceiling and have prepared all the walls and done the first coat of paint with the roller. I’ve done some of the cutting in on the corners and near the chair rail and skirting boards. I’ve also just had the floorboards sanded and polished and it’s come up a treat. I had to spend last night at a friends and will go there tonight also as the house stinks and I didn’t want a chemically induced headache.
I had a good weekend though. Went to a 40th on Friday night. The theme was Bowling Boogie Wonderland. It was held at a lawn bowls club and we were able to play lawn bowls. It turns out that I’m not a bad player seeing I’ve only ever played once before about 5 years ago. My team won the first game I played in and I don’t think we scored on the second game. Not quite sure what happened there. The vodka jellies were a hit. They turned out quite strong so my ratios can be adjusted somewhat. I’m thinking double the water and halve the vodka. Shall give it another try at some stage and see how I go.
On a lighter note I’ve had a couple of friends ask me if I wanted to participate in a sort of chain mail thing where you buy one pair of underpants to send to someone and send the letter to six of your friends to get the ball rolling to receive 36 pairs of undies in total – provided everyone participates of course. Last night at my friends place I was finally roped into participating in this undies chain mail. So why not – lets see if I get 36 pairs of undies. I just have to find six friends to send the letters to who haven’t received letters already.
