I loved watching the games last night. I nearly wet my pants and choked on my laughter when Christie stuffed up her bit and kept coming off her chariot and running into the wall. Oh, that’s entertainment.
Some Big Brother links for the day.
Not sure what I think of all the housemates yet as I have only watched the daily show but no doubt I will be voicing my opinion of who I like and don’t shortly.
Links I’ve found today for Big Brother Australia 05:
My 2 cents
Hotdogs does NOT appeal. Don’t know why he’s called Hotdogs as I won’t dignify myself by reading that story, but that aside, he’s a sleazebag and I don’t think he’ll be in the series for long.
Constance’s little girl act about getting her luggage didn’t work – ha ha. It would be a bummer losing all your luggage when I guess you’ve packed lots of little clothes to show off in, I mean wear. I guess she won’t last long enough to really miss her luggage anyway.
Big Brother 05 kicked off on television last night. Last year I got a little bit involved writing my thoughts down on this blog but I didn’t do nearly as much as I would have liked and I didn’t do it nearly as well as some others. I probably won’t be able to resist chucking in my two cents worth along the line.
Therefore, this year I am going to be the link provider to the stories that other people write. I notice my stats have people find this blog by searching for Big Brother so I may as well be the launch pad for worthy reading about this year’s series. I also notice that my links for last year to the official BBA website go to the current housemates profiles etc so the links will probably only be good for the same year as the series I’m linking to. Anyway, here goes:
And that’s probably enough for now.
Big Brother finished last night and I had a bit of a tear in my eye when the winner Trevor proposed to his girlfriend Breea. If that ever happened to me I don’t know if I’d be pissed off that someone proposed to me in front of a live audience or just really happy. I guess if I was in love I’d be really happy. I think Gretel knew what was going to happen because when Breea came up onto the stage after Trevor won the million bucks, Gretel stopped his mum coming onto the stage at the same time by saying just wait over here for a bit or something like that. Even though I didn’t want Bree to win the money she did really well at the end. It would have been hard this year being up on stage waiting together like that and then being shunted off to go and have a look at your new car. I think I said at the beginning that I thought Bree would be in the last three and while I changed my opinion of her during the series, my first instinct was correct.
I would have liked Paul to win as he ‘kept it real’ and for me keeping it real is saying what you think about what other people do. Trev was probably himself in the house but he didn’t have any or many opinions about other housemates like Paul did and I like the way Paul tried to stir the pot. It did make it more interesting for me. When Paul was evicted on Sunday night I sat in front of the telly yelling ‘no, no’ just about until my voice was hoarse (well maybe not quite that much).
It’s interesting that the auditions for next year will be by the applicants being handpicked according to Behind Big Brother.
Now I can go back to not rushing my son ready for bed by 7pm each evening as I won’t be sitting down to watch yet the 500th re-run of The Simpsons.
I haven’t written much about BB4 lately probably because I’m really bored with it. It’s so predictable with who is being evicted – and I must say that I don’t vote cause I don’t want to line their pockets with 55c each time I vote so my apathy could be part of the problem. It was really obvious that Violetta would be evicted last night in the Intruder eviction. I guess it’s different being a housemate and putting up with her but from a viewers point of view she should have stayed and Monica should have gone. Nearly all the other housemates shit me except for Paul. I hope he wins it. If it comes down to a 3 way contest between him, Catherine and Ryan I will be voting for Paul to win the contest.
A while back I summarised my feelings for the housemates.
- Paul is on top of my favourite list because he does say what he thinks – he comes across as honest.
- Ryan is obviously a BB favourite – winning the football thing. What is it about Australia and sports?
- Ashalea – plain annoying and playing dumb. Saying she’s a target when being nominated. Darling, everyone has to be nominated – why should you be any different?
- Bree – Come on girl, let us know your true feelings about Ryan. You do like him so don’t bother trying to hide it as it just makes you look like a liar.
- Monica – seems ok but I’d like to see her do something to make me like her more.
- Wesley, Trev and Catherine – who are they?
A little while ago I wondered if the BB4 housemates read or were allowed to read books they’d brought into the house. I posted to the BB4 forum and asked this question and only got one response saying they thought so but just hadn’t seen anyone reading this year. My question was answered for me on television last night during the BB4 nightly show when the narrator said something like, ‘Without books and tv in the house the housemates….’. Perhaps the Big Brother team read the forum and answer questions like this in the nightly show or whichever show is appropriate for the question asked. I know last year books were allowed in the house as I remember Chrissie reading books.
