For some party favours that don’t involve calories or allergies (if the boys are into dinosaurs that is!) grab a packet of itty bitty dinosaurs from the $2 shop, foil patty pans, a muffin pan and plaster of paris.
Set the toys inside the foil patty pans (using the muffin pan to hold them steady) pour in the plaster till dinos are covered then let dry – might take a day or 2.
The boys can chip away at the hidden dinosaurs at their leisure
Maybe substitute dinos for pokemon or whatever they’re into?

This is only my second time by your blog, so I’m not sure what I can say about the Blog Quest thing. For me, I’m hesitant about joining something official, but I’m all about improving my blog and increasing my readership. The best way I’ve found to do that is to read and comment more on others’ blogs!

I have an idea for the party- Check to see if your local newspaper sells extra paper, ours here love to get rid of them. The sheets are usually really long. Have the boys lay down, and trace each other onto the sheets, and then give them some markers and crayons, and let them decorate themselves. This will keep them busy for a bit, and give them something cool to bring home. We did this a couple times in school when I was younger, and it was always a big hit.

I think the blogging quest was a great idea. Are there any message boards you can mention it on? Or maybe try to drum up some interest for it on twitter?
