Hazel, I just found your comment about our heat in my spam. Obviously I haven't checked my spam for a while. Yes, we'll have some coolness and some rain too - although not as much as Queensland's having.

Oh Jen - I laugh at the concept of being sent home for the heat - we used to gripe as kids in CQ when we heard of Southern kids being sent home for the heat - and the cold - we got sent home for NOTHING!!

London, England has been positively balmy today - and wet with what my mother would have called "mizzle". Too much wetness to be mist but not enough to be even drizzly rain!
I know it's only the end of January but winter seems to be nearly over - and the pundits were saying that it would be worse than '63 (when we still had snow on the ground in March in the south of the country).
Shall I try sending some of our coolness to you?

Jeanie - no air conditioning? Goodness me. Do they get sent home when the temp gets to a certain heat?

Ali, I managed to have a restless sleep in my room last night. Air conditioner was on all night and I've set it to come on an hour or so before I get home this afternoon. I refuse to leave it on all day like some people do. Hope you manage to stay cool today and again for another hot night tonight.

I don't now how you guys do it. Listening to RN every morning before I get out of bed and hearing the forecasts for the day - I feel for you!
