A bit of gypsy music at the farmer’s market
This morning we finally arrived at the farmer’s market and did our shopping. We were just about to leave when I heard some live music coming from inside the shed so we went to investigate.
I’d completely forgotten that Paprika Balkanicus were playing there this morning. They’re here as part of the Cabaret Festival. They did remind the audience that they’re normally asleep at that time of the morning but considering that they put on a good performance.
JJ sat down in one spot without moving for the whole set - about half an hour - and he even bought the CD afterwards with his own money. I told him that when anybody asks him what the first CD he ever bought was he’ll be able to say that it was this one.
They were really good fun and I’d recommend seeing them. It was certainly a good start to the day.
How wonderful!!! I can just imagine him on Rockwiz in years to come.
I love live music at markets. It makes the experience all for the better, and very cultural!
Live music at markets give everything a brighter, more uplifting feel to it.

Long time no comment but I’m still reading!
Wonderful music — really woke me up this morning. I thought “what a pity it’s so far to go to see them live” and then looked at the website. They’re at the Vortex in Dalston (in East London) at the end of this month and at the Lewisham Festival next month. Also playing Glastonbury but the prices — you’d never believe them these days. I think I’ll try to get to Lewisham since it’s FREE to get in (and then a fortune for coffee etc).
The latest photos of JJ show him to be growing real fast. You’re doing a grand job with him.
What a wonderful way to spend your morning. I hope JJ enjoys his first CD.
