In our previous house we had a security system with one-push buttons connecting straight to fire, police and ambulance. Didn’t think of animal-related emergencies, but our daughter, home alone, did find the RSPCA number when the cat caught and mauled a native bird.

I have the ICE number in my phone but I’ve been wondering about the emergency plan. I think my eldest might be too young yet (4) – not sure if the thought of me collapsing would freak her out too much. Just gotta hope it doesn’t happen at all, or at least until she’s old enough to handle the responsibility!!

That is something I REALLY need to get around to. Programming an ICE number into my mobile phone…. I keep meaning to do it.
