JJ sounds amazing. I love it when kids have the confidence to be themselves and be creative.
We're always making up daft words to songs in our house, it's great fun.

The final two really ring true with me as well.

I am only now in, my thirties, finally becoming confident about who I am, and blogging is certainly helping this process.
I think I needed a creative outlet.

And I've also got to know my parents alot better this year.
I've had to stop work due to illness (I'm on the mend now.) but it has made me face up to and sort out a few things.
We have a great relationship now and I always want that for my kids.
I hope they'll always be able to talk to me or their dad, and will always know how special they are and how much I love them.

Oh, I love the song bit! What a creative youngster. You are so right to encourage his creativity and spontaneous nature.

Jen--thanks for this post! My family always made up songs and now my husband and I made up songs, so I know exactly what you mean with #1. Hayden has two lullabies that are completely unique to him (of course, we don't sing them very often anymore).

Thanks for participating!

Nicely done! I agree about talking to them. Sometimes it seems so hard to dig into the meat of something. Especially with all of the distractions of the world today. Seems like there is hardly time to have a chunk of time to get into anything deep.
Great job!
